MEET JULIE

Julie Johnson has over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources management and is a member of the CIPD. Her career started as a pure HR generalist, providing hands-on HR support in all HR operational activity. Laterally, she progressed to a number of management roles in Talent Acquisition, HR Operations and Talent Management, setting up and managing HR specialist functions in both the UK and abroad.

HR is so broad – and to say that Julie is a ‘jack of all trades’ within in it would be a pretty big declaration – but its true!  Her strong passion and drive are fed by the belief that an individual has a good experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle and that as a manager, the HR elements of the role become an important and enjoyable component of the job – and not a chore. Having worked with several new managers, Julie always offers them one piece of advice “you’re not a good manager until you have had to deal with an employee issue”.

Julie can offer your business a hands-on, practical approach to HR issues and quickly aims to understand your company culture and ambitions. She has previously managed several HR projects including restructures, designing and delivering assessment centres, setting up and restructuring HR functions, designing and delivering management capability training programmes, employee relations resolution and people management.

Away from the corporate world Julie is Chairman of her local horse riding club in Surrey, a coach at Cranleigh Riding for the Disabled and an active show judge for local horse shows. She can often be found organising and marketing local RC events within the Surrey region.
